Why might an online hearing be right for your agency? Online hearings (via WebEx, Zoom, Skype, etc.) can be more economical, and give parties increased flexibility to schedule and attend. Each hearing is recorded and stored securely, along with any documentary evidence provided by the parties, to preserve the record for the legally required period.
CHO is currently conducting hearings online via various video platforms.
We are able to provide in-person or online video hearings throughout California, whether it be on short notice or on a regular schedule. CHO currently employs 11 experienced hearing officers who are licensed with the State Bar of California, eight of whom have been admitted to practice before the courts of California for more than five years.
Each of CHO’s hearing officers is a licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar, and has the requisite training, experience, and skill to conduct administrative hearings.
Collectively, our attorneys conduct more than 200 administrative appeal hearings and 10,000 certification review hearings annually.
CHO’s hearing officers are well versed in administrative law, having conducted numerous administrative hearings for multiple public agencies. Common hearings include code enforcement (cannabis abatement, nuisance abatement, cost confirmation, administrative citations and penalties, zoning), business licensing and regulation (denials, suspensions, revocations), animal control (dangerous animal, vicious animal, animal seizures), LPS mental health certification review (5250/5270) and capacity (Riese), and various other types of administrative hearings.
CHO contracts with multiple government agencies throughout the State of California. References available on request.
